A Community Directors survey of not-for-profit leaders’ biggest governance concerns has prompted a flood of responses.
The comprehensive Roadmap 2030 study – the first sector-wide Community Directors study since before the pandemic – has already attracted more than 600 responses that promise to generate a detailed assessment of the current state of play for the sector, covering performance, finance, training and more.

Community Directors executive director Adele Stowe-Lindner said the survey results – to be shared with all participants – would “help us develop a snapshot of key issues affecting the boards of not-for-profit organisations across Australia” and would guide the work of the organisation in developing new training, resources and advocacy.
Survey respondents have welcomed the chance to raise their most pressing issues, while several noted that the questions had prompted them to review their organisation’s governance processes.
One summed up the feelings of many in describing the study as “a very meaningful survey that should provide crucial support data in an environment of great challenges”.
Board chairs and directors, CEOs and others serving on committees and councils are among those to have completed the study, with participants in the running for prizes worth nearly $1400.
Take the survey now; closes April 24.
